Great coffee. Otherwise disappointing, over priced food with small portion sizes and missing ingredients. For example chicken and waffles(pictured below) which cost $16 is literally one piece of deeply over fried chicken and one waffle and not tasteful.

I don't understand how this place is so busy or has so many reviews. Came here with my family, ordered several different things. Only one meal was ok. The rest were all terrible. Prices don't match the quality and definitely not the portion sizes. The chicken and waffles especially! It was one small waffle that looked pre-packaged and the chicken that was burnt, dry, and gross. The "two hander" was quite small and underwhelming. The baked good looked like they were from a grocery store package. Staff were blah. The place could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom (quite filthy).

Doubt you can find a better breakfast spot anywhere in NYC. Food is delicious, very nicely served. Very good coffee. Been coming here for years and never disappointing.

This place is always packed. And this was the reason we didn’t try it for so long. Everything we ate looked good, served good and tasted good. It’s so nice when you get your meal on real nice plates and metal utensils. For us prices were a bit high, but after all other places increased their prices, Madeline maintaining their prices made this place become even more attractive. If they hold prices I will come back often. Customers that visit are all one better than another. Great vibes and atmosphere. Thank you!

I visited once and my friend and I enjoyed the food. Their menu has a nice selection too choose from. However it gets busy and it can get very loud in there.
Other than the noise this little cafe is a good place to stop by with friends.
