I had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Lafayette yesterday, and my experience was amazing! Great food, a variety of hot and cold drinks, excellent service, and they were also hosting a summer market featuring local vendors. Such a fun and welcoming atmosphere!

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Jersey city I come here minimum twice a week. The food & coffee is amazing but it’s the staff that keeps me coming back . Josh is my absolute favorite, he always has great energy & a smile on his face 😀 10/10 recommend !

This is my favorite café. Every time I come here, the staff welcome me so kindly and the atmosphere feels warm and cozy.
I usually get an iced vanilla latte or a hot Americano. The coffee is always smooth and delicious. The food is fresh and tasty too.
There’s always good energy here. They often have jazz performances and different events, so it feels fun and new every time I visit.
This is my go-to spot. I highly recommend it! 🥹🥹🥹

A daily stop for me and my pup. Easily some of the nicest staff, all of which greet me and my dog by our names. I’ve gotten everything from just coffee/matcha to full breakfasts and lunches, and they never disappoint. Always my go to spot when I have people visiting from out of town, everyone loves it. And on top of all of that, they’re always hosting events to bring the community together in fun ways. Couldn’t recommend more.

This neighborhood spot is EVERYTHING. The fabric of a neighborhood is far more than developers and real estate investors tout it to be- it's businesses like Cafe Lafayette and their neighbors like Bergen Hall, Po Boy Riche, Pizzeria on Pine, etc. Many of these are relative newcomers but this place serves great coffee and Food and has for several years, a trailblazer and a mainstay of the neighborhood. Whethere you are passing through or thinking of moving to the neighborhood, put this warm and delicious spot on your list.
