Sincerely surprised how good the food was. I thought it would be like a underwhelming meal given it was just looking for a bite after a day at the museum. The Italian food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend

A pleasant lunch experience from start to finish. Attentive and friendly service from beginning to end.
I sat at the counter facing street with the hope of being entertained by passersby but my view looked into a busy parking garage entrance and some construction on a scaffolded building. Would have been better to sit as far away from that window.
Ordered a kale salad after asking waiter if the leaf vegetable was precooked which he confirmed. It was perfect! And so was he!
Will definitely go back. Best museum cafeteria food in NYC.

Since I got my membership, I’ve been exploring all the benefits and inviting friends and family to enjoy my favorite floor at the museum. We stopped by the café for a quick lunch, and everything was great. The service was amazing from beginning to end, the food was good, and the lattes were great — even the decaf!

We had a wonderful lunch at Café 2 inside the MoMA, and it was a great break during our visit to the museum.
From the moment we arrived, Sean (or Shawn), the host, warmly greeted us and promptly escorted us to our table. The atmosphere is cafeteria-style with a modern twist. It's open, bright, airy, and comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax after exploring the museum.
Our server greeted us quickly, offered drink suggestions, and recommended several lunch options. I decided on the grilled cheese sandwich with a freshly pressed lemonade, and both were excellent. The grilled cheese was perfectly toasted and loaded with gooey, melted cheese, while the lemonade tasted fresh and refreshing. My only suggestion would be to order two lemonades if you're really thirsty because the glasses are on the smaller side compared to what you'd typically expect.
What really stood out was the service. After checking on us during our meal, Sean/Shawn even took the time to recommend a few nearby places where I could find the shopping items I was looking for. That extra level of hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable.
I'd definitely visit Café 2 again. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding.

Was these the best meatballs ever had? No but for a quick experience it hit the spot. My only complaint is I wish they would have told us the bread was an extra charge. Our server was sweet and so was the other server who helped them. I believe her name was Vivian. She had the guillotine earring in. She really made her day especially with some of the stress we were going through. I also want to say thank you for being very wheelchair accessible
