Vanilla Gorilla Café is a nice spot to meet up with friends or get some work done. The atmosphere is relaxed and not too loud, making it a great place to bring your laptop or enjoy a coffee date.
The coffee is standard, but it gets the job done, and the sandwiches are decent and satisfying. My only suggestion would be a little more staff training to help improve the overall experience.
Overall, if you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by and checking it out.

So… This place is in my new neighborhood and after reading on their window that it’s a blend of delicious quality coffee bean selections I decided to definitely have a cup. Coffee is one of my favorite drinks. I popped in yesterday morning and I simply ordered a cup of medium roast brew. $4 something …
I got a very watery unflavored, irrelevant cup of coffee. Went back to the register to tell and a girl with her hair in a single thick braid told me they only brew one type of coffee (2 pitchers) and if that wasn’t of my liking she could add some espresso to it but she will have to change me for it! Excuse me??? I just paid and bought a cup of coffee and now i have to deal with her non understanding of the situation? I expected customer service and care not matter my purchase, I expected she’d take a sip off the pitcher and taste it, I am sure I wasn’t going to be the only customer of the day to order a simple cup of coffee but no, just attitude! Not only she was totally wrapped in a wrong part but she’s willing to serve others the same watery coffee and whatever!? Heads up: people do not return!!!! Your boss will lose customers!!!!
On the other hand, an extremely attentive and enthusiastic curly hair brunette girl, immediately made it right. With a simple gesture she added a bit of espresso to my cup and it was alright. Not only she added “I hope this will make it better, let me know” 👏🏻🙌🏻 she saved my morning, didn’t waste the existing coffee by re making me another cup and CARED!!! Later I observed a big group of tourists entering and being confused with the menu’. No one but the same curly hair girl came out from behind the counter and politely explained the menu and tried to have those people remaining in for business.
With a smile and full of positive energy she also looked around if everything was up to standard and wiped down tables as well, never with her hands in her hands doing nothing. She should be the manager!
The other one with the blank stare and annoyed attitude didn’t even bother to say bye to me when I left. Some people unfortunately are just not cut to be in the hospitality industry. Too bad, I really really wanted to like this place that is just few blocks from my condo. I won’t return nor I won’t suggest anyone to go.

Finally found a place in New York that serves truly fantastic coffee!
Their lattes are spot on, and the kids absolutely loved the Chilla drinks. We also tried the breakfast Pastrinos and they were a massive hit, fresh, delicious, and full of flavour.
Great food, great coffee, great vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Great café with excellent breakfast sandwiches and really good coffee. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
I tried both the baguette and the Pastrino, and the Pastrino was my favorite. It’s wrapped in a thick, fluffy flatbread like a tortilla, which makes it unique and very filling.
I haven’t tried the lunch options yet, but after this experience, I definitely want to. Vanilla Gorilla Coffee is a spot I’ll be coming back to

Great! Small cafe just a short walk from the New Yorker that has vibrant friendly workers, a great clean seating area, and lots of choices of coffee and foods.
I got the Breakfast Pastrino as it comes and it was delicious. The sauce has a nice kick to it and the cheese is nice and stretchy. It was out very quickly and HOT! Drip coffee was also very good.
Service was great. Everyone was very nice and took great care of me.
Atmosphere was extremely comfortable. The building is in a great spot just to watch life in the city go about. Didn't feel like I was in a rush to leave at all.
Overall A. Will be back!
