I was walking around the upper part of Central Park and decided to exit on 110th street to find food and drinks. Using Google Maps, I walked over to Cafe Amrita on 110th.
It is a large space with ample seating inside. There is a large bar back on the right side.
I got a turkey cheese wrap with chips and ice tea.
Wrap tasted fresh and the tea was not sweet as I ordered.
The vibe is very nice and I could see they had a lot of regular customers.

This combo bar and coffee shop with long hours could be in any European or South American capitol - but we New Yorkers are lucky it's here. A nice place for Columbia students to study, and for working dudes who drink beer and watch the game on a big TV. Great neighborhood feel. ❤️

Truly enjoy every time!
Breakfast is filling and tastes great. Love the hot chocolate and enjoy the teas!
You can order takeout!
The lunch is great, well served and perfectly packed to go!
Great place to go study, read, and have a chocolate chip muffin with coffee. There is outside sitting, there is acholic beverages, and fruits.
Overall, GREAT place, especially to start your day.

If I could give this cafe negative stars, I would. I came across this space due to it being open later than other cafes & fairly reasonable prices. Size is quite large & seemingly a good place to do some reading & writing. The first time was fine, just grabbed a tea. Second time grabbed a cookie. Today, I just attempted to complete a 3rd visit only for the rude man behind the register to come to my table asking if "I wanted anything & I hadn't bought anything". This only after 2 minutes of me sitting down, attempting to wait out the crowd formed at the register. I then told him that I will come up only for him to rudely spat, "You only bought a cookie last time". I've never experienced anything like this. Beyond the fact that I'm being surveilled & pressured to buy things I do not want, the service is not great, cleanliness is not of standard & staff is not welcoming. A woman sitting next to me also witnessed what occurred and was very disturbed by that behavior. We both cut our visits short. No customer should ever have to deal with hostile environments created by business owners. This is a terribly ran business.

I won’t be coming here anymore! I ordered waffles they came out cold all I asked was to heat it up! The woman came out of the kitchen and yelled at me saying she will not be making it over! She then slammed the plate down at the tab Table. I spoke with Andrew at the counter I asked him if I can order another waffle, he rang it in, the Woman came in my face and said she’s not doing it… I was so scared for my life I told Andrew, if I can get a refund. No managers were present or even around I was so scared for my life. It seems like they only cater to Caucasian people. Andrew was the only person that was sympathetic. Andrew felt the waffle and noticed it was cold. The woman in the kitchen ganged up on me in my face. This was an unpleasant experience
