Nice lunch spot with a cozy brunch café vibe. They also have a larger downstairs room. The sandwich was okay, but the service was especially friendly and welcoming, which really stood out. A few people were working on their laptops, but it did not feel like just a workspace. Overall, a pleasant place for lunch or coffee.
Very friendly staff and good coffee. One area for improvement: the space started smelling unpleasant from cooking (old oil stench from frying). Even a couple of minutes at the counter is enough for it to soak into your clothes and hair. I understand the kitchen is not walled off from the serving area, but I wish they had better ventilation to keep the air fresh.
The food and coffee is good, but during my last few visits, I've felt unwelcome as a Black person. I think this is partly due to the heavy gentrification in the area and the crowd it now attracts, which is unfortunate. Some days, the staff is very pleasant, while other days, they barely acknowledge me/friends and are much friendlier with non-POC customers when they walk in. Just a mix bag at this point.
Cool variety of breakfast sandwiches, really cute inside and outside, friendly person at the counter. I got the chorizo sandwich and a Nutella latte....... both were nuts good and exactly what i needed/ wanted. Wish I lived in the neighborhood this would be my spot
Never a bad bite at House Party. Got the Garden Sandwich today and soooooo good. Always cooked with so much flavour and the vibes here are great.
